  Absolutely loved Petit Jean State Park!! Staff at Mather Lodge friendly & helpful. However, our experience ar the restaurant was not good at all. Waitress was surly & kinda bitchy (not a busy night either). We ordered appetizer of cheese sticks, steak medium rare. Waited an hour for our food. Waitress forgot the appetizer. When we got our steaks, they were BURNT! Nastiest tasting steak ever! Matter of fact, we ate some teriyaki beef jerky on our way home that put the steak to shame! Do not order steak unless you like it burnt & tasteless. Only redeeming part was the fried okra & mashed potatoes were good. Will be back to Petit Jean, but will eat anywhere else!

  Me and my roommate decided to go up there for the day to go see the waterfall and stop at the lodge for lunch. The staff were friendly as we walked in, and we had a really nice waiter named Kade (I think I spelled it right) who also gave us to go water so we would have something to drink on our hike to the waterfall. And one lady at the front desk answered all of my questions about the prices of the different rooms and cabins. Very helpful! And another lady at the desk informed of the nearest gas station when I asked. She was very friendly about it. Overall, very friendly staff, good food, and reasonably priced rooms!
